PROGRAMS THAT HELP
Operation Care Package
As Memorial Day approaches, it’s time remember those who sacrifice so much by putting themselves in harm’s way to protect our everyday freedoms. In appreciation of our Active Military and this very special day, the Proviso Public Partnership in collaboration with Operation Care Package (www.operationcarepackages.org), is preparing for our annual care package drive and fundraiser.
The Proviso Public Partnership is asking everyone including schools, churches, libraries, family/friends and all businesses, to allow us to place a box at your location to collect various items to be packaged and sent overseas to our service men and women. Each box will have a list of items that are acceptable as well as a complete list on our website. We are also encouraging people to write letters. The service men and women really appreciate these personal letters; they mean so much to them and boost morale.
Everything collected will be transported to Operation Care Package in Manhattan, Illinois and then be immediately shipped to our members of the military serving around the world. If you would rather show your support through a financial donation, you can do so through PayPal using Donate/Pay box on this website. If you would like to make a financial contribution using a check, please send it to: Proviso Public Partnership, 4565 West Harrison Street 3rd floor, Hillside, Illinois 60162. Please write: Operation Care Package in the memo of the check.
With a support staff of all volunteers, 100% of everything collected goes directly to the military recipients. Any financial donations that are collected go to help offset the cost of shipping and secure items that are desperately needed.
If you would like to join us, please contact Kate Minella at (708) 240-4435 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will start dropping off boxes the first week of April. This will give us enough time to make sure the items are delivered towards the end of May and Memorial Day.
Thank you very much for helping support those that support us.
